Abstract

The prevention and adequate management of respiratory infections is extremely important when taking care of HIV-infected children. The successful use of HAART can drastically reduce the risk of opportunistic infections, which re-emphasizes the importance of making optimal use of this live giving opportunity, as discussed the previous articles in this series.
