Abstract
Ulseratiewe kolitis is n siekte van onbekende oorsaak wat aanleiding gee tot akute of chroniese bloedige diaree met verskillende grade van sistemiese aantasting. Die inflammasie is beperk tot die kolon en affekteer hoofsaaklik die mukose.
