Gastroenterology Update
Abstract
Gastroenterology has progressed enormously in the past 25 years. Hinchowitz pioneered the use of the fibreoptic endoscope and used it on a patient at the Michigan University Hospital. Since then, the endoscope has become firmly established as a diagnostic instrument for both upper and lower digestive tract disorders.
