Abstract
It has become almost impossible for the busy doctor to keep abreast of all new developments, and evaluate the claims of the drug manufacturers; it is.here that the pharmacist as a member of the health team, can be of real help to the prescribing doctor. The patient will indeed also benefit. A few real-lite examples are analysed to illustrate the problems especially of over-prescribing.
