Relapse rates of sputum positive tuberculosis at Canzibe Hospital (1978 - 1984)

Abstract
In a rural hospital in Transkei an analysis was done of seven years' routine sputum results from their laboratory books. The findings show the possibility of using the proportion of relapsed cases as a simple method of surveillance of the efficacy of a tuberculosis-control program.
