Managing genetic disorders

Abstract
A study of patients presenting during the first six months of 1982 to the genetic counselling service in Johannesburg shows a similar distribution of genetic problems to that occurring in other countries. Woman of child-bearing age and people from the higher socio-economic groups are the main users of the service.
