Abstract
The personality make-up of medical doctors as well as the exceptionally high professional expectations they have to fulfill at all times, may be the reason why their stress-related morbidity and, mortality rates are higher than the general population. The author discusses studies from several countries done in this field, and, concludes with some practical advice.
