Abstract

Health education should be fundamental to preventive medicine, but because our education is more disease orientated than health orientated, not enough is done by the health teams. "Not-ill" is not good enough; patients should be healthy and well, and doctors need to change their norm of 'not-ill' to "being well". The author discusses different aspects of this situation and gives practical suggestions as to know how good health education could be offered in daily medical care.
