Abstract
Patient satisfaction can be measured according to the way the doctor organises his practice, as well as the way he treats his patient. A survey was conducted in NTvl to determine whether certain factors which researchers in other countries mentioned in their publications as important were also present for patient satisfaction in this area. From the completed questionnaires it became clear that even though patients read more about health matters and their expectations are influenced by various factors, most of the patients are satisfied with the service and care they receive from their family doctors. GPs need to give attention however, to a few aspects mentioned.
