Abstract
A prospective study of presenting obstetric and gynaecological complaints, based on clinical data gathered at an East-Rand-Suburban partnership. The frequency of consultation, age-grouping and presenting general complaints are taken into consideration. The total average of doctor's visits were 1,35 per annum. The age grouping of the patients correspondence with the age of the doctor in attendance. The five most common reasons for consultations were: i Ante-natal examinations. ii) Routine Gynaecological examinations. iii) Confirmation of pregnancy. iv) Vaginitis. v) Follow-up visits.
