Abstract

Health care reform and the needs of communities are forcing essential changes in the education of health personnel. Community -based training and, multi,-disciplinary education are strategies for training institutions to respond to this challenge. Furthermore, the health team concept as part of the comprehensive primary health care approach, need,s to be reinforced.
