Family Medicine in South Africa today My task is to speak on family medicine in South Africa today, within the context of the conference theme. I will provide you with some background on the art of family practice in general, share with you the state of this art with regards to training, research, professional development. organisational issues and unity in the profession of family medicine, Lastly, I will attempt to motivate you to work with renewed energy towards achieving the art of holistic care.
