Abstract
The advent of evidence based medicine has brought some new terminology and new calculations which Family Physicians are likely to encounter. But do they make any difference to the way we practice? Consider the following three choices for drugs that reduce a cardiac risk factor (e.g. hypercholesterolaemia) with minimal side-effects, over five years.
