Abstract
Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy is thought to work partly by generating free radicals, therefore giving cancer patients antioxidants is regarded as counterproductive. Oncologists generally tell their patients to stop taking antioxidants. Is this understanding based on science or is it just a point of view? This review looks at the science of antioxidant use which does not support this view.
